Carol Ullmer, 74, of Vandalia, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 8 with her family at her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was the daughter of the late William & Irene Hunter and the sister of the late Linda Hunter. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert, her daughter, Lynda (Mark) Gage and her son, Jeff (Cheryl) as well as her two grandchildren, Bethany and Noah Ullmer. Carol was also loved by and is survived by her three brothers, William (Pat) Hunter, Michael (Sharon) Hunter and David (Kathy) Hunter, her sister Bonnie (Tom) Strassell and her sister-in-law, Doris Whitehead. Carol was also loved by her numerous nieces and nephews. She was best known for her love, loyalty and laughter. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, May 12, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 pm until time of service. . In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45420 in Carol’s memory.
