FRIEDRICH, James D., age 61 of Vandalia, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Mt. Sterling, KY. He was born July 1, 1951 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Richard J. & Marilyn (Rickert) Friedrich. James was an employee of Piqua Concrete and a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda of Vandalia; 2 sons, Bobby Perkins and Paul Perkins (Sarah) all of Vandalia; 2 sisters, Cindy Chamberlain (Greg) and Becky Friedrich; granddaughter, Raven Perkins, 2 nephews, Brett & Matt, 1 niece, Shannon and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 8 at the Vandalia Church of the Nazarene, 620 Stonequarry Rd., Vandalia with Pastor Josh Cougle officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 am until time of service. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
