Floyd Hensley, Jr.
Age 75, of Kettering, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, January 7, 2024, at The Hospice of Dayton. Floyd was born March 20, 1948 in Dayton to the late Floyd (Sr.) & Mary Madelyn (Suman) Hensley.
Floyd was a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Wright State University and he was a U. S. Air Force veteran.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife of the past 21 years, Sandra Lynn (Stracener) Hensley; five children, Elizabeth & her husband, Gary, Alex & his wife, Danielle, Julie & her husband, Drew, Eric & his wife Jennifer and Craig; eleven grandchildren, Nate, Ellie, Bryce, Mack, Luke, Wyatt, Caleb, Logan, Halley, Austin & Nolan; two sisters, Pamela Cabrea & Jan Bowen; and by his extended family & many good friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Malcosky officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Floyd to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
