Age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at his home in Dayton. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on November 16, 1932 to the late Adam and Dicie Campbell. In addition to his parents, Joe was also preceded in death by his sons, Joe Jr., Kenny and Jeff Campbell; step-son, Mark Davis; brothers, Burnett, Estill, Curtis and Daymon Campbell; and by his sisters, Margie Richie and Opal Napier.

Joe founded, owned, and operated Joe’s Roofing and Siding for more than 30 years until his retirement.

Joe will be missed by his loving wife of the past 12 years, Cheryl (Evans); sons, Thomas (Kathy) Campbell and Timothy (Regina) Campbell; brother, Burton (Sheila) Campbell; sister, Irene Foister; step-daughter, Marsellette Davis; and by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am, Saturday, February 17, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Joe to The Hospice of Dayton or to the Salvation Army.
