Albert D. Curtis

CURTIS, Albert D., age 79 of Arcanum, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton after a brief illness. He was born May 23, 1935 in Carrollton, KY, son of the late Cecil & Alma (Shingleton) Jeffries. Albert was a member of the Community Bible Church of Tipp City and was a very proud U.S. Air Force Veteran. Preceded in death by his sister, Geneva Roberts, Albert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia (Garber); 3 sons, Daryl Garber (Pamela), Tony Curtis (Anita) and Chris Curtis (Jody); brother, Oscar Curtis Jr.; sister, Olivia Hollen; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Community Bible Church, 1427 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH with Pastor Jeff Sekins and Pastor Jordan Curtis officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Albert's memory.
