Alcie Mae Smith
Age 86 of Springboro, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Sycamore Medical Center. Alcie was born in Spencer, West Virginia to Guy C. Blosser and Ruth M. Ferrell on April 18, 1931.
She married the love of her life Charles L. Smith (Smitty) on December 25th, 1948 who
preceded her in death in 1998.
She is survived by her children: Robert (Marilyn) Smith, Jeanie (Sam) Owens-Hilton, Charles Larry (Dana) Smith, Mary Ann (Brad) Cole, Becky (George) Gutierrez, Joyce (Larry) Buttelwerth.

Grandchildren: Jennifer, Amy, Michael, Michelle, Alishia, Ryan, Mark, LeShaun, Casey, Chelsea, Courtney, Nick, Gordie, Cassie, Brittany, Jordan, Rachel, Chad, & Brooke,

A lover of animals. She especially enjoyed surrounding herself with many dogs throughout her life and could not resist a stray.
She loved to travel and go on cruises. Smitty and her traveled to many destinations.. She enjoyed boating. It was always Smitty's dream to own a boat which he did and named it Alcie. They journeyed from St Petersburg, Florida to Cincinnati, Ohio by way of the Ohio River. She enjoyed bowling, garage sales, dog & horse racing, and casinos.
Funeral services will be held Saturday February 24 at 12:00 noon at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10am until noon.
If so desired, contributions may be made to the ASPCA in Alcie’s memory.
