TAYLOR, Alwilda M. (Daniel) 82 of Dayton, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Miami Valley Hospital. Alwilda was known as Willie by her family and friends and had lived in Butler Township before moving to 10 Wilmington Place Retirement Community in January 2007. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years Robert Taylor in 2006, mother and father Claude and Goldie Daniel, 2 brothers Harry and Claude and sister Virginia. She is survived by her daughters Linda McDonald (Richard) New Carlisle; Anita Plisevich (Harry) Waynesville; Marilyn Ruffer (David) Zionsville, Indiana; Marjorie Davis (Kenneth) Springfield; son William of Butler Township; sister Carol Olson (Jack) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and cousin Barbara Berger of Beavercreek, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in Dayton and graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1943. She assisted her husband in the family business but was a wife and mother foremost. She was a member of the Alpha Nu chapter of the Omega Sigma philanthropic sorority and sang in the church choir for many years. She enjoyed flying with her husband as he piloted his Cessna 140, traveling to visit family and friends. Funeral services will be at 10:00am Friday September 21, 2007 at MORTON & WHETSTONE FUNERAL HOME 139 South Dixie Drive in Vandalia with Pastor Alan Knoke of St Pauls Lutheran Church presiding. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8pm. Contributions if desired may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton in memory of Alwilda.
