Ancil "Ray" Webb

June 14, 1931 — April 18, 2016

WEBB, Ancil “Ray”, went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2016 after a short illness. He was born in Fork Ridge, TN on June 14, 1931 to Lawrence “Buddy” and Emma Webb, and he became a born again Christian in 2008. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Bessy (Eli) Terry. Ray served proudly in the U.S. Army with the 4th Armored Battalion in Korea as a tank driver from 1951-1953. After the Army, he went back home to Middlesboro, KY to find the love of his life, Lois Myers. They were married on July 2, 1955 and had 60 wonderful years together. In that time, they had 4 children, Ed (Louise) Webb, Debbie (Randy) Crawford, David (Diane) Webb, and Scott (Jennifer) Webb; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Ray was the most loving husband in the world and the best dad, grandpa, papaw, and paw that anyone could have. He was a faithful follower of his Savior Jesus Christ and belonged to the Huber Heights Church of God.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, April 21 at the Huber Heights Church of God, 6900 Brandt Pike, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at the church on Friday, April 22 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Huber Heights Church of God, or to your home church in Ray’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
