NOSTADT, Anthony Tony was born 23 May 1909 in Cupar, Saskatchewan Canada, the 4th of 10 children of Joseph and Johanna Nostadt. Tony married Elizabeth in April 1930 and had two children Betty Wray (spouse James) and Edward Nostadt (spouse Pauline deceased). Grandchildren James Anthony Wray and wife Cristina and their son Michael, and Laura Wray Chase and her two girls, Abigal and Madeline. Tony celebrated his 100th birthday last May 2009 with a party of many of his extended family in attendance. He is survived by his sisters Jennie Nicklas (spouse Charles now deceased) Ann McNamara and husband Leo, and a brother William (Bill) (wife Melda deceased) all of Vandalia, and their extended families. He was a jack-of-all trades who could repair most things mechanical. His longevity can be attributed to his many years of hard work and exercise and leading a godly life. He passed away 17 March. He was faithful to his Catholic faith in attending mass every Sunday. We will miss you much. We love you, Tony. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 23 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Rd. Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will be held at St. Vincent Roman Catholic Cemetery in Hanover, PA. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of service. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
