Arlene C. Royce

ROYCE, Arlene C., age 70, of Butler Twp., passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024. Arlene was born June 19, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Curtis and Iona (Campbell) Royce. She was a proud 1972 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and was known to all in the school community as the “Reunion Queen.” Arlene worked for her brother and father’s real estate office, Royce Realty for over 29 years. 

Preceded in death by grandparents and her parents, Arlene is survived by her daughter, Nichol Royce, grandchildren, Gavin and Stella Czarnecki of Vandalia; one brother, C. Michael Royce (Ellie) of Clayton; one sister, Judith Gail Rowland (Rick) of Butler Twp., nephews, Bryan Royce, Cary Royce, Tommy (Kayla) Royce, Jeremy (Shaina) Rowland, Raymond (Shelby) Rowland; great-nephews, Lance, William, Nathan, Benjamin and Liam; great-nieces, Kaya, Kira, Olivia and Anna; along with an incredibly extensive circle of amazing friends and her beloved Vandalia-Butler alumni community.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Christian Life Center, 3489 Little York Rd., Dayton with Pastor Tommy Royce officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at CLC on Friday morning from 10:00 am until time of service. Please enter through Door #2 or Door #3. In lieu of flowers, please honor Arlene’s request with a donation to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, 1661 Nicholas Rd, Dayton, OH 45417.
