Arthur E. “Gene” McCluskey

Age 87, formerly of Englewood, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016, in Elkhart, Indiana where he had been living in recent months. Gene was born March 10, 1929 in Chickasha, OK to the late Arthur O. & Eula B. (Davis) McCluskey. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Frances, in 2007. Gene retired as a Music Editor with Lorenz Corporation and was a member of First Grace Brethren Church in Dayton, OH. He is survived by three children, Joan (Steve) Murphy, Donald (Jill) McCluskey & Mary Fulton; grandchildren Ryan (Danielle) Murphy, Katie Murphy, Amanda (Evan) Ballinger, Joshua (McKensey) Fulton, Jesse (Hazel) McCluskey and Jared McCluskey; and eight great grandchildren. A special thank you to the staff at Grace Brethren Village in Englewood and Hubbard Hill Retirement Community in Elkhart, IN for their wonderful care. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday (8/29) and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday (8/30). Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Bruce Jackson officiating. All visitations and the funeral service will be held at the First Grace Brethren Church, 2624 Stonequarry Road, Dayton, OH 45414. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City, OH.
