Barbara A. Allen

Age 81, of Dayton, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital – Main Campus. Barbara was born September 13, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Harvey C. & Melba H. (Jeanette) Rains. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Allen; one son, Chris Barlow; and by one sister, Lynda Clemons.

Barbara attended faithfully Open Bible Christian Church and Gospel Fellowship Church.

She is survived by her brother, Ronnie Rains & his wife Patricia; nephews, Scott Rains & his wife Maggie and Jeff Rains & his wife, Karen; nieces, Missy Jacobs & her husband, Tom and Alicia DeFrancesco & her husband, Nick; her dear friends, Joan, Sherry, Casey, Anthony & Betty; and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 – 1:00 pm on Monday, November 20, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Kevin Seeley officiating. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Barbara to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
