Barbara Lee Elleman went home to Heaven on Thursday, March 23, 2023, with her beloved husband Don and son Tom meeting her at Heaven’s gate. She was born to Leroy and Edna Vance on November 23, 1928 in Phoneton, Ohio. Cherishing her memory are: sister, Betsy Keegan; daughters, Terri (Steve) Baltes and Brenda (Doug) Fryman; grandchildren, Beth (Phil) Reimer, Tom (Jen) Fryman, Greg (Anna) Baltes and Sarah Baltes; great grandchildren, Zachary, Quinten, Kiara, Jocelyn, Griffin, Bella, Kylie, Theodore and Arthur; in-laws, Jerry & Polly, Jay, Bruce and Arnita; and many nieces and nephews.
Barb had a beautiful smile and loved to laugh and enjoy life. She was a Christian, liked to read her bible and kept a quiet faith. She had a good long life and was a loving wife, mom and grandma. Barbie was May Pole Queen her junior year and graduated from Butler in 1947. She was a cook for Vandalia Schools for many years. She liked flowers, Christmas, her home in the country, and most of all, she loved her family and was always there to help them. She was the goodness of their lives and they will miss her dearly.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Polk Grove Cemetery, 9190 Frederick Pike, Dayton, with Rev. Kenneth Stewart officiating.
