Berniece L. Francisco

September 19, 1920 — January 11, 2019

FRANCISCO, Berniece L., age 98 of Butler Twp., passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at Brookhaven Nursing Center. She was born September 19, 1920 in Richfield Twp., Ohio. Berniece was a longtime member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church and had been an active member with the Vandalia Senior Citizens. She was an avid gardener, who dearly loved her rose bushes, enjoyed spending time with her family and had a deep love for dogs.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank and her brother, Roy Carter, Berniece is survived by 4 children, Robert “Bob” Francisco (Pat) of Gahanna, Rick Francisco (Darla) of Vandalia, Gary Francisco (Angie) of IL & Gail Jackson (Ron) of Vandalia; 10 grandchildren, Robin, Michael, Andrea, Jesse, Heather, Tony, Becky, Amanda, David & Mike; numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and special friends.

A Memorial Service will be held for Berniece at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 15 at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Vandalia Senior Citizens. The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff of both Spring Hills Singing Woods and Brookhaven Nursing Center who offered comfort, care and compassion to Berniece and her family. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
