CONN, Bertha F., age 90 of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton.  She was born March 19, 1929 in Adams County, Ohio, daughter of the late William and Glenna Lanter.  Bertha was a retired employee of the Inland Division of General Motors and a member of the Northridge Free Will Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Cecil Tolle, 5 sisters, Dorothy, Phyllis, Mary, Freda and Faith, 1 brother, Billy and her step-son, Romie Conn Jr., “Doug”, Bertha is survived by her husband of 26 years, Romie Conn of Vandalia, son, Michael Hoskins (Carol) of Pennsylvania; step-son, Paul Conn (Debbie); step-grandchildren, Crystal Offill and Melanie Wright; 4 step-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, October 17 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Steve Nickels officiating.  Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until time of service.
