COMBS, Betty J., age 79 of Dayton, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Emeritus @ Kingsley Place in San Antonio, TX. She was born November 29, 1933 in Fleming, KY, daughter of the late Dennis & Cora Durham. Preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas, second husband, Adam, 3 brothers, James, Ray & Bobby Durham and 1 sister, Neima Durham, Betty is survived by her daughters, Brenda Jenkins (James) of TX & Teresa Williams of Dayton; 1 son, Hermann Tip Combs of AZ; 2 sisters, Shirley Reynolds & Judy Sloan; 2 brothers, Odus Durham (Marilyn), & Paul Durham (Sharon); 4 grandchildren, Jamie Beeler (Brandon), Brian Jenkins, Amanda Williams, Lindsey Martin (Keith); great-grandchildren, Faith & Liam Martin; Brielle & Truett Beeler, 4 step-children, Carl Combs (Beverly), Michael Combs, Brenda Copeland (Fred); Claudette Mullen, step-grandchildren, Terry, Carla, Michelle, Jeremy, & Heather, along with numerous step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, March 15, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Josh Cougle officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Emeritus @ Kingsley Place Medical Center, 9000 Floyd Curl Dr., San Antonio, TX 78240 in Bettys memory.
