Betty G Davis

DAVIS, Betty G., age 85 of Vandalia, passed away Monday, September 3, 2007 at the Springmeade Health Center after a lengthy illness. She was born November 12, 1921 in Dayton, daughter of the late Elmer & Eleanor Schultz. Betty was a retired employee o the Elder Beerman Dept. Store and was a member of Peace of Our Savior Lutheran Ch urch of New Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E., Davis Sr. in 2004 and 2 brothers, Eugene & Elwood. Betty is survived by her devoted son & daugther-in-law, ALbert E. Jr. & Sue Davis of Vandalia; 2 grandchildren, Holly & husband, Darryl Thomas of Vandalia, Matthew & wife, Anna Davis of Orange, CA; 4 great-grandchildren, Sydney & Mitchell Thomas, Justin & Alexander Davis; 3 sisters, Evelyn Siler, Beatrice Smart, Berneda Whalen and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, Sept. 6 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia with Pastor Marc Frey officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 7:30 pm. The family would like to thank the staff at Springmeade for the excellent care given to Betty during her illness.
