Betty A Huck

HUCK, Betty A. age 84 formerly of Vandalia and New Port Richey, FL passed away Sunday January 17, 2010 in Richardson, TX after a lengthy illness. She was born May 7, 1925 in Dayton daughter of the late Charles & Lois Weitendorf. Betty and her late husband Robert were the owners of Huck & Son Florist on Dixie Dr. for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1995 and one sister Phyllis Routzohn. Betty is survived by 2 daughters Karyl & husband Frank Stephens of Richardson, TX, and Karen Timmons of Ft. Myers, FL; 4 grandchildren Tami & husband Scott Rupert of Rowlett, TX, Todd Nash of Dallas, TX, Scott & wife Kim VanHorn of Hagerstown, MD serving with the U.S. Navy in Iraq, Steve & wife Lindsay VanHorn of Palm Dale, CA; 4 great-grandchildren Dylan, Sydnee, Brandon, Saydie; 2 nieces Suzy & husband Denny Hardin and family of Tipp City, Shelly & husband Keith Froebe and family of Brookville and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday January 20 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or to the Breast Cancer Assoc. in Bettys memory.
