KOZUH, Betty Lou (Schwieterman), age 90, of Centerville, passed away Saturday October 14, 2017. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Betty always greeted you with a smile. Betty was born in Dayton as the oldest of six siblings. She lived in the Dayton area all her life, including Vandalia for 35 years. She was married to William S. Kozuh for 46 years at the time of his death. Betty was an active member and volunteer at St. Christopher and Holy Family Church and retired to St. Leonard's. She looked forward to her annual Kozuh Family Hayrides and Schwieterman Family Campouts. Betty loved being outdoors, playing cards, knitting, and doing puzzles. Preceded in death by her husband Bill Kozuh, parents, C. L. and Olive Schwieterman, and brothers, Tom, Ted, and Bud Schwieterman. She is survived by her seven children: Bill & Robbi Kozuh of Dayton, David & Diana Kozuh of Brookville, Steve Kozuh of DeLand, FL, Linda & Stan Harting of Houston, TX, Jerry Kozuh and Carol Baudendistel of Tipp City, Maribeth & Rob Reeb of Fort Worth, TX, and Amy & Leo Gundler of Cincinnati; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Anna Marie, Joanne and Marilyn Schwieterman, brother, Gene & Barb Schwieterman and sister, Sue & John Cordonnier and MANY nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Wednesday, October 18. If desired, contributions can be made to St. Christopher church in Betty's memory.
