Betty J. Vance

VANCE, Betty Jane, age 93 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 11, 1924 in Covington, KY, daughter of the late Edward & Elsie Joyce. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Peggy & Mary Lou and 1 brother, Michael. She is survived by her brothers, Edward & James Joyce;sister, Karen Jung; 3 children, Judy Brookshire, Larry & Joe Vance; daughter-in-law, Vickie Vance; grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy & Sarah Brookshire, Anna & Elayne Vance; great-grandchildren, Nolan & Vincent Brookshire, Jordan & Baelynn Spencer, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 26, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may are requested to Dayton Children’s Medical Center in Betty’s memory.
