Betty F. Wampler

Age 95, of Butler Twp., passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at her home. Betty was born February 23, 1926 in Shiloh, Ohio to the late Ora W. & Edith I. (Curtis) Roof. In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Merle E. Wampler, in 2009; her infant daughter, Judith; and by her son-in-law, Gary Lutz.

Betty was active with the Montgomery County 4-H Club. She has been a member of the Christian Life Center for many years. At the church she was active with the Women’s Missionary Council, a Sunday School Teacher, active with Vacation Bible School and for many years she and her husband were greeters at the church.

Betty is survived by three children, Joye Lynn Stier, Nancy Jo Lutz and Wayne E. Wampler & his wife, Alexandra; six grandchildren, Wayne Wampler, Jr. “Butch,” Wayde Wampler, Marla Morgan, Nicole Tighe, April Lundgren & Michael Wampler; ten great grandchildren and a host of other relatives & friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., on Monday, May 10, at the Christian Life Center, 3489 Little York Road, Dayton, Ohio 45414. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday (5/11), at the Christian Life Center. Pastor Stan Tharp officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Libby Martin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Betty to either the Christian Life Center or to the Children's Rescue Center, P. O. Box 2, Springfield, Ohio 45501.
