Beverly J. Gatton

GATTON, Beverly J. age 91 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday February 13, 2018 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born December 9, 1926 in Detroit, MI daughter of the late Charles & Inez (Smith) Gaylor. Bev was a longtime swim instructor in the Vandalia area. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Gatton in 1999. She is survived by one daughter Leslie (Gerald) Wade; 2 sons Paul C. Gatton and Richard A. Gatton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for family and friends will be held Monday February 19 at 1:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1500 Shiloh Springs Rd. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 11:00am to 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton 1661 Nicholas Rd. Dayton OH 45417 in Bev’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home.
