Beverly Ann Nowotny

NOWOTNY, Beverly Ann, age 79 of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Crossroads Rehab and Nursing Center. Beverly was born October 1, 1938 in Troy, OH, daughter of the late Ohmer & Thelma (Freeman) Motter. She was a 1956 Graduate of Tippecanoe High School and a former member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City. Beverly loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren and taking trips to King’s Island. Beverly opened her home to numerous children over the years as a loving and devoted babysitter. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald, Beverly is survived by 3 daughters, Judith Ashton of Vandalia, Jennifer Nowotny (Michael Collett) of Vandalia and Jill Miller (Daniel) of Vandalia; 5 grandchildren, Alexander Ashton, Eric Nowotny (Amber), Meghann Nowotny (Mike Eastman), Sierra Miller and Jordan Miller; 1 brother, David Motter (Doris) of Venice, FL; sister-in-law, Patricia Saunders (Daymon) of Vandalia, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 20 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Mr. Harry Herbst officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening (4/19) from 5-7 pm. The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to the staff of Crossroads Rehab and Nursing Center as well as the staff of Bella Care Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they provided Beverly throughout her journey. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bella Care Hospice, 7625 Paragon Rd., Ste. C., Dayton, OH 45459 in Beverly’s memory.
