Bill "Pete' Elam

ELAM, Bill Jr. Pete age 64 of Bethel Twp., passed away unexpectedly at his residence Saturday, March 26, 2011. He was born November 7, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pete was a self-employed truck driver, and avid car enthusiast and a proud supporter of Bethel Township Schools & their athletic programs. Preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Elam, Pete is survived by his father, Bill Elam of Xenia; 2 sons, Jeff & wife, Michelle Elam and Todd & wife, Mary Elam, all of Bethel Twp; his ex-wife & lifelong friend, Cindy Elam of Tipp City; 6 grandchildren, Allie, Jordan, MacKenzie, Todd Jr., Tess & Tanner; 4 brothers, Charles Nickel of FL; Gary Elam of Bethel Twp; Danny Elam & Ralph Elam, both of Medway; 1 sister, Sue Yates of Xenia and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, April 1 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kyle Terrian Fund. Kyle is a 2010 Bethel High School graduate who is battling a rare form of cancer. Donations for Kyle can be made at any Wright Patt Credit Union Branch in Petes memory.
