Brenda J. (Weeks) Sommer

Brenda J. (Weeks) Sommer age 84 of Butler Township, passed away Sunday August 20, 2023.  She was born August 4, 1939 in West Charleston, OH, daughter of the late James and Wanda Weeks.  Brenda was preceded in death by her husband John Richard Sommer, sister-in-law Doris (Ralph) Davis, and brother-in-law Norman Sommer.  Brenda is survived by her son Rich Sommer (Beth); grandson Keagan Sommer (Courtney); brother and sister-in-law Paul & Sarah Weeks; brother-in-law Robert (Lorraine) Sommer, and sister-in-law Pat Sommer; numerous nieces and nephews Chad (Jennifer) Weeks, Danielle (Jim) Wilson, Kerri (Karen) Davis, Bob Davis, Lisa Davis, Rich (Annette) Sommer, Jeanne Sommer, John Sommer, Betsy Sommer, Paul Sommer and numerous great-nieces, nephews and cousins and her dear friend Audrey.  Brenda loved her family very much.  She graduated from Randolph High School in 1957.  She worked at NCR for 14 years and volunteered at Vandalia Butler City Schools.  Funeral services will be held Friday August 25 at 1:00pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in West Milton.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11am until time of the service at 1pm.  If so desired, contributions may be made to the Vandalia Butler Food Pantry in Brendas memory.
