Calvin Warren McDonald

McDONALD, Calvin Warren, age 77 of Vandalia passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born December 22, 1938 in Towanda, Pennsylvania, son of the late Joseph Anthony & Fern (Clark) McDonald. Calvin served honorably in the United States Air Force and proudly served the City of Vandalia Community. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jane (Weitz) McDonald; 2 children, Vicki Allen (Scott) and Jim McDonald; 5 grandchildren, Amber Allen (Dave Long), Cara Hope (Alex), Breanna Allen (Ben Dumler), Cade McDonald and Trey McDonald and their mother, Rannel McDonald; 2 great-grandchildren, Hunter James and Henry Charles, along with a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held for Calvin on Saturday, March 19, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia from 2-4 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Calvin’s memory.
