Carl Hendrix

HENDRIX, Carl Age 92, formerly of Vandalia, passed away at Friendship Village on Wednesday December 18, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hendrix, mother, Birdie (Little) Hendrix, and brothers, John & Jesse Hendrix. Carl will be reunited with his loving wife of 57 years, Charlotte Hendrix, who preceded him in 2004. Carl is survived by one daughter Nancy & husband Rick Turner of Kettering, one son Ray & wife Danielle Hendrix, 3 grandchildren Jon, Ray II, and Barbra all of Butler Twp. and other relatives and friends. He was born in Strong, Arkansas, and was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. He retired from NCR with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports. His great smile, laugh, and love for life will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Graveside services for family and friends will be held at 2:00 pm Monday December 23, 2013 at Polk Grove Cemetery, corners of Frederick Pike and National Rd.. There will be no visitation.
