Carolyn Amburgey

AMBURGEY, Carolyn age 77, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born March 31, 1931 in Hyden, KY, daughter of the late Chester & Montana (Asher) Morgan. Preceded in death by 2 sons, Rick & Larry Amburgey; 1 granddaughter, Tammy Amburgey, and 6 sisters, Fannie, Marie, Oma, Debbie, Mary & Martha, Carolyn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Elmer L. Amburgey; 5 children, Carol Turner, Randy Amburgey, Lin Amburgey, Kimberly Carver (Ed), and Penny Bateman (Daniel); grandchildren, Jason, Lori, Angie, Lance, Alex Nick, Brandon, Mathew, Morgan and Andrew; 2 great-grandchildren, Christian & Austin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Greenmont-Oak Park Community Church, 1921 Woodman Dr., Kettering, OH 45420 in Carolyns memory.
