Carolyn Ann Schwab

Schwab, Carolyn A. (McHale), 86, of Butler Township, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Middletown, Ohio. She was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, 1944 and St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing, 1947. She had been an active member of the St. Es Alumni Association since graduation. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia, since 1960 and active in many ways especially in its Bereavement Ministry and the Senior Group. She had also taught religion classes for 18 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Anna Germann McHale. In 2003, her husband, Francis J. (Frank, W8OK) died as did her brother John T. McHale. She was the proud mother of Michael F. (Joy); Beavercreek, Stephen C. (Becky); MI, Kathryn A. (H. Ray) Thomas; Huber Heights, Barbara S. (William) SchwabKlaco; London, OH, John H. (deceased) (Ellen); Willard, Patricia M. Anderson; WA, Teresa J. (John D.) Magill; Middletown, Edward T. (Sharon); Waynesville, Joanne L. (Jack) Hubbard; Milan, Ann M. (Anthony); Canal Fulton, Paula F. (Dan) Wathen; Miamisburg, and Gerald M.; Columbus. Grandma of 30 and Grosmom of 22; in-laws Carolyn S. McHale; Margaret and Leo Williamitis, Eleanor Schwab, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, December 3rd, 5-8 pm at Morton Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 South Dixie Dr., Vandalia. A vigil prayer service will be held at 7:45 pm. A Mass celebrating Carolyns life will be held at St. Christopher Church Tuesday, December 4th at 11:00 am with Father Frank Keferl presiding. Prayers at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
