. KOELLER, Carrie Sue (Sutton), age 62, of Waxahachie, Texas, formerly of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 after a brief battle with Covid-19. Carrie was a 1976 graduate of Vandalia Butler High School. She resided in the Vandalia and Troy areas until 2014 when she moved to Texas. Carrie worked at the Miami County Municipal Courthouse as a Deputy Clerk for 12 years, where she made lifelong friends who became like a second family to her.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years: Randy Koeller, sister: Cheryl (Richard) Wellbrock, father in law: Robert Koeller, stepsons: Adrian (Terri) Koeller and Ryan (Deanna) Koeller, stepdaughter: Victoria (Matt) Alaniz, nieces: Liz (LaCario) Johnson, and Jennifer (Jack) Spreng, 4 grandchildren: Patrick, Elizabeth, Leland, and Letty, 2 great-nieces: Kaylyn and Kennedy, 2 great-nephews: Jackson and Kai, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alfred and Wanda, her older sister who passed shortly after birth in 1957, and her mother-in-law Sharon.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 10, at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with interment to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
