Carrie E Wright

WRIGHT, Carrie E., age 93, of Brookville, passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Lakeview Assisted Living Center at Brookhaven. She was born August 20, 1916 in Kenosha, WI, daughter of the late Carey & Kitty (Biggs) Hathaway. She was a longtime member of the Murlin Heights United Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Wright and 1 son, Joseph Wright, Carrie is survived by her daughter, Ruth Alig & husband, Jack of Huber Heights; daughter-in-law, Martha Wright of Vandalia; sons, James Wright of Anchorage, AK and David Wright & wife, Alva of Brookville; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and her many friends at Brookhaven. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 3, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Jane Maxton officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Carries memory.
