MASTERS, Carson V. age 85 of Butler Twp. passed away Saturday October 28, 2006 at Harborside Care Center after a lengthy illness. He was born May 6, 1921 in Cookeville, TN, son of the late Charles & Avie (Stewart) Masters. Carson was a retired Sgt. with the Dayton Police Dept. and was a member of the F.O.P.. He worked at Frigidaire as a tool grinder and was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. Carson was preceded in death by 2 brothers Cecil & Sherman Masters, and one sister Avis Stewart. He is survived by his wife Anna Belle Masters; 3 daughters Carol & husband John Snyder of Red Lion, OH Laurie & husband Bob Tackett of Beavercreek, Sherry Brant of FL; 2 sons Craig & wife Terry Masters of MD, and Randy & wife Diane Masters of Sardinia, OH; 5 step-children Judi & husband Mike Snyder of Carlisle, David & wife Debra Florea of AL, Janet & husband Tony Citrigno of FL, Eddie & wife Toni Florea of Vandalia, Danny & wife Corrine Florea of Carlisle; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 31 at 12:00 noon at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev. Ron Hajarian officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or the Dayton F.O.P. in Carsons memory
