Catherine A. Brown

Catherine "Catty" Aker Brown Passed peacefully on February 25, 2015, at age 91. Born in Phoneton, Ohio, she lived outside of Vandalia in Butler Township all of her adult life where for two decades she taught third and fifth grades at Murlin Heights Elementary School until her retirement in 1989. She was a devoted mother and grandmother known for her love of flowers and animals. Her husband Gordon Forrer Brown died in 1991. She is survived by her daughters Susan Brown (David) Schechter of Washington, DC, and Sally Brown (Steve) Walker of Erlanger, KY, and her son James Randy (Cathy) Brown of Tipp City, OH, and five (5) grandchildren: Sarah Walker Bongiorno, Nathan and Sam Schechter, and Lisa and Andrew Brown. The family suggests donations to Hospice of Dayton as remembrance.
