Catherine E. Maddox

MADDOX, Catherine E., age 89, of Troy, formerly of Butler Twp., passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Sterling House of Troy. She was born June 23, 1922 in Reily, OH, daughter of the late John A. & LuLu Ann (Dill) Wallen. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl, 1 son, Freddy, 1 sister, Thelma Huffman and 2 brothers, Francis Fritz Wallen & Emmert Wallen, Catherine is survived by her daughter, Brenda & husband, Curt Gossett of Tipp City; son, Larry & wife, Linda Maddox of Dayton; 3 grandchildren, Darren, Bret & Melanie; 2 great-grandchildren, Gavin Lee & Dylan Maddox; 1 sister, Verglenda Wallen, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 5, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Acclaim Hospice in Catherines memory.
