Catherine Moore

MOORE, Catherine J., age 92 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born June 30, 1914 in Germantown, OH daughter of the late Hiaram & Jenny (Holman) Smith. She was a retired employee of Dayton Abrasives Corp., a member of the First Baptist Church of Vandalia and the Classics Senior Group. Preceded in death by her husband, Artman Moore, 2 step-sons, Coy and Claude Moore, great-granddaugther, Krystal E. Rickert, 7 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Dale & Jennifer Rickert, Dennis & Kathy Rickert and Gary & Eileen Rickert; 2 daughters, Norma & husband, Don Eilerman and Alberta Parker; 1 sister, Helen Cain; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, March 29 at the First Baptist Church of Vandalia with Rev. Wayne Monroe officiating. Burial to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Wednesday evening from 5-8 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to Crossroads Hospice in Catherines memory.
