Charles R. Deaton

DEATON, Charles R., born November 19, 1936 was carried away to his eternal home to be with the Lord and his loved ones who have gone on before him. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Anna Louise Deaton; and two precious daughters, Patty Ann Woodbury & husband, Jerry and Angi & husband, Sam Voris; step-son, Jeff Logan & wife, Missy and 4 beautiful granddaughters, Ashlee Logan, Leann & husband, Jared Phillip, Bethany Logan and the apple of his eye, Kaitlyn Ann Voris; 1 beloved brother, Arnold Deaton & wife, Chris; 6 sisters, Verna Holland (CJ)., Maxine Mohle, Ruby Lanham (Charles), Mary Warbutton (Richard), Ramona Taylor, & Flo Deaton. He was blessed with special caring friends, Ray & Charles Hicks, Rob & Vicki Smith, Al & Shirley Newport, Carl & Anita Bryant and his loving and caring friends of the Vandalia Baptist Temple and the Faith Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff nurses of Hospice for their devoted care of their loved one. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, August 11, at the Vandalia Baptist Temple, 724 Helke Rd., Vandalia with Rev. Rick Washburn officiating, assisted by Rev. Jim Wilson & Rev. Gary Favor. Burial will follow at Valley View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 12:00 noon until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Charles. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
