Charles "Chuck" Doggett

DOGGETT, Charles W. "Chuck", age 80 of Vandalia, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 25, 1933 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Raymond T. & Helen M. (Porter) Doggett. Chuck was a retired employee of Delphi and a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Chuck loved spending time with good friends at some of his favorite spots, including regular visits to Jim's Donut Shop, Waffle House, Bob Evans and George's Restaurant. Chuck is survived by his daughters, Pam Linker (Perry) and Dorothy "Dody" Speyrer (Jim); 6 grandchildren, Steven, Jessica, Sara, Julia, Matthew & Samuel; 6 great-grandchildren, niece, Janet Washburn (Ronnie), along with a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia from 5- 8 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Chuck's memory.
