Charles E. Kuhbander Age 83, of Vandalia, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, at The Hospice of Dayton. Charles was born November 28, 1931 in Dayton to the late Charles S. & Nina P. (Petry) Kuhbander. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynnann Kuhbander. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church since 1990; a former member of the University of Dayton Band and he was an avid U. D. Basketball fan. For many years he was employed as a food sales representative. Charles is survived by his friend of the past 40 years and wife of the past 26 years, Patricia A. (Suto) Kuhbander; three children, Charles L. Kuhbander (Susan), Christopher A. Kuhbander (Sheri) & Pamela J. Hurst (Jack); five grandchildren, Dustin (Uli), Shane (Sheri), Amber (John), Charlie & Sam; four great grandchildren, Kolton, Abel, Valena & Bryce; sister, Nancy J. Gallagher (James); uncle, Don Petry (Ginny); and by his extended family & many good friends. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Francis Keferl at 12 Noon, Saturday (2/21) at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 W. National Rd., Vandalia. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Interment will follow at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Charles to either The Hospice of Dayton or the American Heart Association.
