Charles D. "Jack" Morris Age 81, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, at his home in Hillsboro, Ohio. Jack was born July 23, 1933 in Earling, West Virginia to the late Charles A. & Ella G. (Hanshaw) Morris. He served his country during the Korean War in the U. S. Army, retired in 1985 from AT&T with 35 years of service, was a lifetime member of the VFW Post # 8312 in Beavercreek and he was an avid bowler. Jack is survived by his wife of the past 60 years, Carol (Lycans) Morris; three children, Darlene C. Collins (Cliff), Charles A. Morris & Lori A. Morris; five grandchildren, Charlie, Cliff, Hannah, Eli & Sarah; one great granddaughter, Merideth; and by one brother, James Morris (Charlene). Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday (3/18) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Pastor Michael Malcosky will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
