Charlie R Davidson Jr.

DAVIDSON, Charlie R. Jr., age 74 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in Palatka, FL after a sudden illness. He was born February 8, 1935 in Pulaski, VA, son of the late Charlie R. Sr. & Ruby Davidson. Charlie was co-owner of C&M Insulation Company and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Vandalia Baptist Temple, the Vandalia Masonic Lodge #742 F&AM, Antioch Shrine, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and the Camellia Chapter of the OES and was a Gideon. Preceded in death by 1 son, Ricky Dean Davidson, Charlie is survived by his wife, Willia; 1 daughter, Tammy Lynn & husband, Terry Covey of VA; 2 sons, Paul D. & wife, Carol Ann Sowders of FL and Larry D. & wife, Patricia Ann Sowders of Vandalia; 2 sisters, Agnes Maum & Carol Jean Schmidt; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 9, at the Vandalia Baptist Temple, 724 Helke Rd., Vandalia with Rev. Randy Washburn officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11:30 am until time of service. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
