Chester R Thompson

THOMPSON, Chester Ray Arthur, age 67 of Butler Twp., passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born November 5, 1941 in Morehead, KY, son of the late Claude & Nora (Adams) Thompson. Chester was a retired Sr. Master Sgt. with the United States Air Force and worked in Aerial Transportation as a civilian employee with WPAFB. He was a member of the Troy Fish & Game Club, the National Wildlife Turkey Federation, AmVets Post #99, American Legion Post #668 and the VFW Post #5436 in Troy, OH. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lawrence & Roy Thompson, Chester is survived by his wife, Donna & her daughter; his children, 3 sisters, 1 brother, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, June 30, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor David Starry officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until time of service.
