Clairette R. Allen

Age 93, of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the Masonic Home in Springfield, Ohio. Clairette was born February 2, 1925 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Clyde R. & Marie T. (Bressant’) Bowe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William R. Allen in 2006.

Clairette was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vandalia; a Past Matron and member of Tippecanoe Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star; a member of the Daughters of Nile, Azizah Temple, Dayton; and the Ladies Oriental Shrine, Bara Ct., Dayton.

Clairette is survived by two sons, Robert Bruce Allen & his wife, Audrey Jean and William Raymond Allen & his wife, Mary; and by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Pastor Michael Malcosky will officiate. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Clairette to the donor’s favorite charity.
