OSBORNE, Clarence H. Kale , age 75 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born February 7, 1937 in Somerset, KY, son of the late John F. & Ella C. (Waddle) Osborne. Kale was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1954-1957 and was a retired employee of General Motors. Preceded in death by 1 brother, Wallace Mae Osborne and 1 sister, Nina K. Murray, Kale is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce V. (Mohler) Osborne of Vandalia; 3 children, Reginald H. Osborne (Pam) of New Paris, Richard A. Osborne Rick (Jennifer) of Tipp City and Sheila K. Callicoat (Jim) of Tipp City; 8 grandchildren, Reginald Osborne II (Allison) of New Paris, Nathaniel A. Osborne (Sarah) of Richmond, IN, Courtney, N. Osborne Tyra (Bobby) of Mason, Kristen N. Osborne of Upland, IN, Joel Callicoat (Tamara) of Centerville, Micah, Kyli, & Gabe Callicoat of Tipp City; numerous great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Earl V. Osborne; 2 sisters, Alma L. Harris of Dayton & Georgia Ann Sanders of Louisville, KY; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 6, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Steve Whalen officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Mr. Osbornes memory.
