MURPHY, Clarice (Trick), age 96, of Butler Twp., passed away November 19, 2012, born November 10, 1916 in Dayton, daughter of the late Samuel & Marie (Brinkman) Trick. She was a graduate of Julienne High School, attended Miami Jacobs College, was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, former Girl Scout leader, Good Samaritan volunteer, & the Circle 8 Square Dancers. She attended classes at UD until the age of 85 and was an avid bridge player. Preceded in death by her husband, John & son, Thomas, Clarice is survived by 2 sons, Dr. John & Alice Murphy of Troy; Mark & Mary Murphy of Ft. Wayne; 2 daughters, Kathleen & Ralph Moore, Vandalia & Sharon & John Larson of Indianapolis, daughter-in-law, Barbara Murphy of Beavercreek; sister, Anita Thomas of NC, brother, Jerry & Joan Trick, Vandalia; 16 grandchildren, Brian Murphy, Matthew Murphy, Kelly McEldowney, Keara Strayer, Christopher Murphy, Angela Drye, Ryan Murphy, Dennis Rogero, Nathan Moore, Aaron Moore, Laura Free, Danny Reigelsperger, Sara Gay, David Reigelsperger, John Marvin Murphy & Sean Murphy; 21 great-grandchildren & numerous other relatives and friends. Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 am, Sat., December 1 at St. Rita Catholic Church with Fr. Ken Baker officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Rita Building Fund, Boy Scouts of America or Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements by Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
