Claude J. Hatfield

HATFIELD, Claude J., age 84 of Tipp City, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1927 in Claiborne, TN, son of the late George & Cordia (Davis) Hatfield. Claude was a loving husband, father & grandfather. Preceded in death by 5 brothers & 2 sisters, Claude is survived by his wife of 29 years, Aileen (Nelson) of Tipp City; 1 daughter, Betsy Walden (Randy) of New Lebanon; 1 son, Carl Hatfield of Dayton; step-son, David Hill (Janice) of TN; 2 brothers, Jerry & Sid; 3 sisters, Edith, Betty & Gracie; 4 grandchildren, Eric & Travis Walden and Carl Jr. & Regina Hatfield; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 18 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Rick Washburn officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Claudes memory.
