Clyde L. Brown

BROWN, CLYDE L., age 90 of Tipp City, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 12, 1925 in St. Paris, OH, son of the late Walter F. & Glenna (Babington) Brown. Clyde proudly served in the U.S. Navy and loved fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Virgil, Charles & Francis, and 2 sisters, Opal & Ellen. Clyde married the love of his life, Dorothy J. (Hatfield) on November 20, 1947 and she survives him after a wonderful 68 years of marriage. Clyde is also survived by his 5 children, Barb Hockman (Nick), Mike Brown (Gail), Don Brown (Terry), Jim Brown (Lynette) and Larry Brown (Debby); 12 grandchildren, Megan, Tif, Mikey, Robby, Beth, Dan, Ely, Sarah, Becca, Jenny, Chrissy & Katie; 11 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Clarence Brown, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 27 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am until time of service.
