Dan Young

YOUNG, Daniel J., “Dan”, age 68 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Grandview Medical Center.  Dan was born August 31, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Harold and Nellie (Tharp) Young.  He was a self-employed dental technician, enjoyed fishing and sharing his deep love of and passion for Disney with his family.   Preceded in death by one sister, Debbie, Dan is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon (Johnston) Young of Vandalia; two children, Tara and husband, Dan Landis of Vandalia and Erik and wife, Mary Young of Vandalia; four grandchildren, Ty and Reese Landis and Alex and Nina Young; one sister, Donna Reck of Dayton, and a host of extended family and treasured friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 28 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S.
