Danny G. Stevens

Age 73, of Tipp City, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017. Danny was born January 13, 1944 in Dayton to the late James F. & Margaret C. (Morrison) Stevens. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Jr., in 1993 and by a brother, Roger F. Stevens.

Danny was a U. S. Army Veteran and he retired as a Tinsmith from General Motors in 1995 with 30 years of service. He was an avid motorcyclist. He and his wife have visited all 48 continental United States during their motorcycle travels. He also enjoyed playing Euchre and was a member of the Dayton 2 Steppers.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of the past 54 years, Genell (Harbin) Stevens; daughter, Deanne Moore (Tony); four grandchildren, Makenzie (& fiancé, Steven Dunlap), Brent, Mitch & Nick Moore; one sister, Connie Starr (Shane); and by his extended family & many good friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. John Seagraves will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Danny to Hospice of Miami County.
