Danny R. Wagner

WAGNER, Danny R., 79, of Troy, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 at his home. He was born Dec. 9, 1942 in Dayton to the late John & Virgie (Back) Wagner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ann Wagner, and two brothers, Ronald & Richard Wagner. Danny was a member of Troy Christian Church. He graduated from the University of Dayton in 1965 and retired from the State of Ohio Bureau of Workers Comp., in Dayton.

Danny is survived by two children, Deborah Wagner & Philip Wagner (Dawn); brother-in-law, James Saul; six grandchildren, Joshua Nicholson (Cheyenne), Justin Nicholson (Kaitlyn), Jarryd Nicholson, KymberLee Seyfried (Josh), Stephen Wagner (Caitlin) & Nicholas Wagner (Madeline); nine great grandchildren, Kamrynn, Kaiya, Aralynn, Kallen, Maddox, Micah, Elizabeth, Eli & Amelia; and by his extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00-6:30 p.m., Tuesday (12/13) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Rev. Chris Heiss officiating. Danny’s cremated remains will be inurned at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, at a later date.
