Darrell W. Martin

MARTIN, Darrell W., age 63, of Dayton, died Saturday, September 10, 2011 after bravely fighting cancer for 19 months. Darrell was a retired employee of the Vandalia-Butler City School System. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; 3 daughters, Kelly of Englewood, Mrs. Cameron (Stacy) Clements of Dayton and Tiffanie of Dayton; 1 grandson, Jesse Ray and another special grandchild on the way; 5 brothers, 4 sisters, many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who will all truly miss him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 14 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm.
